Our purpose is to restore God’s community, and our niche is to transform the situationally homeless. The Staff and Board of Directors of The Harvest Center of Charlotte are motivated to serve by Christ’s words in Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord , “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”.
The Harvest Center of Charlotte serves men, women, and children in the Charlotte area who are impacted by poverty, unemployment, and homelessness.
Our 10-Year Target: 2,000 lives transformed resulting in independent housing, purposeful work, and connection to a spiritual community.
The Harvest Center of Charlotte has a three-pronged approach to serving those in need.
ENGAGE with our families and individuals by offering workshops, classes, opportunities, as well as one-on-one assistance through our Transformation Specialists, Growth Coaches, and Strategic Partners. We will nurture, grow, and prosper our individuals and families by engaging the possibilities. RELATE with our families and individuals by walking side-by-side, building genuine relationships, and fostering accountability. We will love people first. Educate and mentor second. TRANSFORM lives with our PASSPORT Program that focuses on the 8 Dimensions of Wellness (spiritual, emotional, environmental, financial, intellectual, occupational, physical, and social). It’s about living fully and finding happiness.

Many come to THC hoping to share their time, talent and resources. Experiences enable them to leave fulfilled, transformed and spiritually fed. Helping to transform the lives of those we serve, they find themselves being transformed as well.
“Friend” us on Facebook, “Follow” us on Twitter and opt in for our monthly E-newsletter to receive regular updates and witness some amazing testimonies about the impact we’re making in alleviating poverty, unemployment and homelessness in our community.
Eighty-one cents of every dollar given to THC touches the lives of thousands of individuals in need right here in our city. Our faith-centered approach to social problems limits our ability to access funds that are provided through local foundations and charities.
To create a community where individuals affected by homelessness, poverty or unemployment are empowered through our transitional programs and transformed by the love and ministry of Jesus Christ.
