The Harvest Center of Charlotte is a place where people’s lives are transformed. Barbara Brewton Cameron was transformed in the 1970’s after the tragic death of her husband. Her transformation led her to reach out to the homeless, the hungry and the helpless.
According to the book of James:
Real religion, the kind that passes muster before God the Father, is this: Reach out to the homeless and loveless in their plight…..isn't it obvious that God-talk without God-acts is outrageous nonsense? (James: 1:27, 2:17 The Message)
What started out as a ministry to just a few people, now is an outreach that touches thousands of lives each year. From feeding, clothing and housing several thousands of people this year, we are ending homelessness in Charlotte…one life at a time.
