Isabella's Kitchen - Our high-quality soup kitchen is open every Tuesday and Wednesday to provide hearty and healthy meals to address the hunger needs in our community. Isabella's Kitchen is open every Tuesday and Wednesday for a power breakfast (7:30 am - 8:30 am) and an uplifting lunch (11:30 am - 12:30 pm) . All are welcome!
Community Resource Desk – We provide directions and resources to address a host of issues our neighbors face including food, clothing and housing referrals, job search and transportation assistance as well as other agency connections to address issues of substance abuse and recovery support. Our resource desk is available Monday - Thursday, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm and Friday 9:00 am - 2:00 pm.
Day Shelter Services – Dalton Hall is a welcome place for our neighbors to come in from the heat of summer and the cold of winter to find respite. Neighbors can nap, charge their cell phones, access the community resource desk, technology lab and spend time in our prayer chapel to recharge spiritually and emotionally. The day shelter is available every Tuesday and Wednesday from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm.
The Prayer Chapel - We believe in the power of prayer to change the hearts, minds and souls of anyone seeking transformation. Our prayer chapel is open for anyone seeking spiritual guidance. Call the resource desk for available times.
Harvest Inn – In partnership with Room in the Inn, we provide a warm place to sleep, a hot shower and a hot meal to homeless men during the cold winter months. Services are coordinated through Urban Ministry Center from late November until March.
Community Service - Guests and transformation clients practice the power of giving back by serving with staff and other volunteers through multiple community assignments throughout the week.
Food and Furniture Referrals - Guests and transformation clients build a relationship with our Resource Specialist and receive administrative support to find and obtain necessary household goods and appliances and supplemental food sources.
Teddy Technology Lab – Our computer center is available neighbors who need to make a connection to find work, a place to stay or complete other important technology-based tasks. Through our partnership with NC Works, we have seen more than 200 of our unemployed neighbors find work and be empowered to move their lives forward.
The Harvest Center’s Transformation Program is a unique transitional housing program for individuals seeking to improve their lives and move towards self-sufficiency. It includes the following components:
Transitional/Supportive Housing - Homeless men and women receive full time supportive housing for up to one year for the purpose of overcoming the issues that perpetuate their homelessness.
Mental Health Counseling Support - Partner agencies provide individual and group counseling for our transformation program participants as needed.
Substance Abuse Support/Recovery - Partner agencies provide weekly support group and recovery services for our transformation program participants.
Job Placement Assistance - Staff, volunteers and corporate partners provide job mentoring and coaching as program participants find meaningful work.
Biblical Training and Christian Mentoring - Participants are actively involved in Bible studies and mentoring by staff and volunteers to learn to apply scripture to their personal lives.
Life Coaching – Our certified Transformation Life Coaching staff equip participants with gaining new perspectives, applying practical life tools and using spiritual wisdom.
Mentoring – Our program participants are partnered with a mentor to journey alongside their newly transformed lifestyle and personal development goals.
Other Agency Partnerships - The Harvest Center of Charlotte maintains strategic partnerships with organizations that provide complimentary services for our clients including: Mecklenburg Department of Social Services, Second Harvest Food Bank, Charlotte Rescue Mission, Dove’s Nest, Charlotte Works, Crisis Assistance Ministry, Charlotte Family Housing, Jackson Park Ministries, Hoskins Park Ministries and Loaves and Fishes.
