Volunteer Opportunities

Administrative Assistance

THCC is looking for Administrative Assistants to volunteer on a consistent basis to help execute administrative duties. These duties include but are not limited to: filing, calendar management, drafting and editing documents and spreadsheets, research, answering phone calls and recording messages. Each assignment will be different based on the Champions expertise and there may be opportunities to work remotely.

Ages 18 and up

Campus Beautification

Campus Beautification includes but is not limited to: picking up trash on campus, picking weeds, enhancing mulch areas, setting up and breaking down holiday décor, planting flowers around campus, etc.

Ages 7 and up

Cleaning Services

Cleaning services may include cleaning office space, gymnasium, chapel, apartments after move out/before move in and other spaces on campus. Champions may commit to one portion of the campus if desired.

Ages 15 and up

Events

The events opportunity is for those who are skilled and planning and managing special events. These individuals would plan our campus and community events, assist with fundraising events and more. This is an opportunity that would allow you to mostly work remotely.

Ages 18 and up

Facilities

Opportunities within the facilities department include but are not limited to: general maintenance, light landscaping, lawn maintenance, assisting with renovations and more.

Gardening

Responsible for nourishing and the success of our campus gardens. This opportunity will include planting, watering and the upkeep of specified garden areas.

Ages 7 and up

Meals

Assist the kitchen staff with serving meals to our program participants. We ask that you not only help serve the meals for our families, but that you will also sit down, eat, and socialize with them as well! This is a wonderful opportunity to build new connections and friendships as well as to model good family time and gathering.

Ages 10 and up

Move-In Prep

Help us assemble furniture, add decor, and make the newly renovated apartments feel like home for new families and individuals who will be moving in.

Photography
Capture special moments of our program participants, staff, champions, partners and community during events such as Smooth Move, Harvest Day, Awareness Day, Let’s Celebrate, etc.

Ages 18 and up

Smooth Move
Help us celebrate and welcome our new program participants. We want to welcome our new participants with love, smiling faces and warm embraces as they receive their apartment keys. We also assist them by moving in any items they may have with them.

Ages 15 and up

Spiritual Night
Every first through third Tuesday we have Spiritual Night, a time where we worship, pray and hear a brief word from a staff member or guest speaker. We would love to have speakers and worship teams join in and encourage our community.
Support Groups/Weekly Workshops
Our CLT Passport Program focuses on the Eight Dimension of Wellness (Emotional, Environmental, Financial, Intellectual, Occupational, Physical, Social and Spiritual) and we want our program participants to have support groups/weekly workshops on each dimension to help them during their transformation process.
Youth

We want our youth participants to be transformed through the Eight Dimensions of Wellness just as the adults. We are looking for individuals and groups to assist with youth activities. The opportunity would be for ages three – first grade, second through fifth grades and sixth through twelfth grade students.
