Thank you for your heart to serve and support our mission!
At The Harvest Center of Charlotte, our volunteers, whom we proudly call Champions, are at the heart of the impact we make each day. Through your hands-on service, you play a vital role in uplifting our staff, empowering program participants, and transforming lives. Explore the many meaningful ways to get involved and become a Champion for change!
Volunteer Opportunities
Every person walking through our doors is on a journey toward a better life and they don’t have to walk it alone. As an Impact Team volunteer, you show up as living proof that someone believes in them. Facilitators ignite possibility in the classroom. Mentors stand in the gap between where someone is and where they’re going. Together, you become the reason a participant pushes through the hard days and reaches the finish line.
When you say yes to this team, you’re not just filling a role. You’re changing the trajectory of a life.
Facilitators
Lead and guide program classes by sharing your knowledge and creating a space for growth and learning. Facilitators help equip participants with the tools they need to succeed.
Mentors
Walk alongside participants throughout their journey, offering encouragement, guidance, and support. Rooted in our core value of Grace Filled Accountability, mentors also serve as accountability partners, helping participants stay committed to their goals.
The space where someone seeks help speaks before anyone says a word. A clean, welcoming, well-tended campus tells every family and participant: you are worth this. As a Campus Care volunteer, you create an environment of dignity, one that quietly says, “This place was prepared for you.” That message matters more than you know.
Your hands in the garden and your care in the hallways are acts of hospitality that transform a building into a place of belonging.
If you are unable to serve on a scheduled day, we would still love to have you involved. Please contact Terence at [email protected] to learn about additional days, times, and opportunities.
A shared meal does something no program curriculum can. It creates a moment of rest, nourishment, and human connection in the middle of a hard season. When families come to class, your meal is the warmth that greets them. It says: you are seen, you are cared for, and you are not doing this alone.
Whether you cook from your kitchen, coordinate a catered spread, or drop off food between your errands, you are meeting a real need at a deeply human level.
Whether you cook, cater, or coordinate a meal, your generosity provides nourishment, encouragement, and support during an important time in their journey.
This is a great opportunity for individuals, families, churches, or groups to make a tangible impact through hospitality and care.
The moments that move people, the celebrations, the community gatherings, the fundraisers that fuel everything we do, don’t happen without people like you behind the scenes. As a Special Events volunteer, you help create experiences that inspire donors, uplift participants, and rally the Charlotte community around a shared mission.
Every event you help execute is a ripple. The planning you put in today becomes the resources that reach families tomorrow.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy planning and can primarily serve remotely while contributing to meaningful moments that support our mission.
The stories being written inside The Harvest Center deserve to be heard beyond our walls. As a Social Media & Marketing volunteer, you are the bridge between transformation happening here and the community that needs to know about it. The right post, the right story, the right moment shared can move someone to donate, volunteer, or seek help they didn’t know was available.
Your words and creativity don’t just spread awareness. They extend the reach of every program we run.
Help promote The Harvest Center of Charlotte’s mission by sharing impactful stories and engaging content.
Volunteers may assist with social media content, press releases, newsletters, website content, promotional materials, and event marketing initiatives.
This is a hybrid opportunity, with the ability to work remotely on occasion. Creative, detail-oriented individuals who can work independently will thrive in this role.
Great missions are sustained by great teams, and great teams need great support. When you serve alongside our staff, you free them up to focus on what they do best: walking with participants through life change. Every form organized, every resource prepped, every task handled with care makes the whole operation run better.
The work you do behind the scenes shows up on the front lines. Your service multiplies theirs.
Volunteers may assist with tasks such as organizing materials, preparing program resources, data entry, and other administrative or operational needs as they arise.
